How to use Etrade Pro on Multiple Screens on Mac

When I started adding additional monitors to my trading station I ran into an unexpected problem. I wasn’t able to put any Etrade pro charts or windows on my second monitor. That was basically the main reason why I bought one in the first place. After searching all over the web I couldn’t figure out how to make it work. I finally figured out a solution and wanted to share it with everyone. The problem wasn’t with Etrade, it’s the settings on your mac causing the problem.

Step 1. Close Etrade Pro.

Step 2. Open System Preferences and click on Displays > Arrangement > Uncheck Mirror Display.

Step 3. Back in System Preferences, open Mission Control. Uncheck ‘Displays have separate Spaces’.

Step 4. Log out and log back in to your Mac.

Step 5. Now you can reopen Etrade Pro, and start dragging any charts and windows you want to any of your monitors.

Here’s a quick video I made outlining the steps above.
